Kia Ora, welcome to our website. Pahoia is a rural school situated approximately 20 km north of Tauranga. We have 8 classrooms and have approximately 190 students on our New Entrant to Year 6 roll.

 

Our Mission Statement is ‘Preparing Learners for Now and the Future’ and are very proud of what we achieve in our Teaching and Learning community.

 

We have 5 values that form the basis of everything we do and say at Pahoia. They are COMMUNICATION, LEARNING, EXCELLENCE, RESPECT AND RESOURCEFULNESS.

 

As part of our current Strategic Plan we have three main goals that focus on improving student achievement. They are to:

-Raise student achievement in Literacy

-Raise student achievement in Numeracy

-Strengthen strategies and tools that embrace 'Personalised Learning'.

 

Features of our forward thinking and attractive school include interactive whiteboards in all rooms, a heated swimming pool, nature area, multi purpose astro-turf, a well resourced library, brand new student desks and chairs and fantastic staff and students!  

 

This year a School / Community Hall will be built on site which we are very much looking forward to!
